₦500m lawsuit: May Edochie takes on Yinka Theisan
May Edochie, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has filed a legal complaint against Yinka Theisen, who was once romantically linked to Yul’s elder brother, Linc Edochie. She is accusing Yinka of cyberbullying, defamation, and cyberstalking.
In a formal notice served by her lawyers, Graylaw Partners, May alleged that Yinka has consistently published harmful and false statements about her across social media platforms.
The letter claims that Yinka’s posts were not only defamatory but also deliberate attempts to mock, discredit, and endanger May by spreading malicious threats and baseless allegations. It further stated that these actions encouraged others to amplify the negative content, thereby intensifying the reputational and emotional harm.

Through her legal team, May is demanding that Yinka immediately cease all defamatory publications, retract previous posts, issue a public apology, and circulate corrections across every platform where the claims were shared.
Beyond these demands, May is also seeking ₦500 million in damages as compensation for the distress and harm allegedly caused by the online harassment.
