2027: Mark Warns Atiku, Obi as FG Slams Coalition

ADC Chair David Mark Denies Bias Toward 2027 Hopefuls

Interim National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator David Mark, has dismissed claims that the party favours any presidential contender for 2027.

This comes amid speculation that Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi are top picks for the ticket. In a statement from his media team on Tuesday in Abuja, Mark stressed that all members are equal stakeholders.

Reacting to accusations from 2023 ADC candidate Dumebi Kachikwu, who alleged bias toward Atiku, Mark promised full transparency under his leadership.

Mark: ADC Backs No One Yet, Focused on Saving Nigeria

Senator David Mark has clarified that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has no preferred presidential aspirant for 2027.

“Our goal is to build a platform that resonates with most Nigerians,” Mark said, warning that without urgent action, “this great ship called Nigeria” could sink.

He urged unity within the party, saying, “I don’t own this party more than any member. It’s time to show Nigerians that ADC stands for something different.”

ADC Surge Shakes 2027 Politics as Mark Dismisses Bias, Mass Defections Hit APC, PDP

ADC interim chair David Mark says the party has no favourite candidate for 2027, stressing unity, transparency, and a people-driven agenda: “Nigeria’s ship is sinking—we must rise together.”

Meanwhile, defections rock the APC and PDP as key figures from Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, and beyond flock to the ADC. Ex-APC and PDP leaders cite frustration with Tinubu’s leadership and praise the ADC’s fresh vision.

Tinubu aide Bayo Onanuga hit back, alleging a conspiracy to oust the President and defending Tinubu’s reforms as “the most transformative in Nigeria’s history.”

With growing grassroots support and a swelling coalition, the ADC is emerging as a major force ahead of 2027.
