Blaqbonez calls out streaming farm scam in Naija music

Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has voiced his concerns over the increasing use of streaming farms in the country’s music industry.

His comments came in response to a post by fellow artist Magixx, who criticized musicians for inflating their streaming numbers. In a pointed tweet, Magixx said:

“Y’all faking your numbers. I hope you sleep well at night… keep deceiving your family members.”

Quoting the tweet, Blaqbonez added his own take:

“The irreversible damage we’ve done to our industry… one day it’ll finally come crumbling down. For now, let’s keep acting like the charts mean anything more than a showcase of the people who can afford to buy it. It’s like iTunes in the 2000s all over again.”

The conversation has since sparked debate among fans and artists about the authenticity of chart rankings and the long-term impact of artificial streaming boosts.
