Davido Speaks Out After Attack Video in Delta

Afrobeats star Davido has broken his silence after a viral video showing him being struck on the head sparked concern among fans.

The clip, recorded in Warri, Delta State, appeared to show the singer being slapped as he left a popular nightclub shortly after performing at a wedding. Many online had feared it was an attack.

Clarifying the incident on his X handle, Davido explained that it was a misunderstanding. According to him, his head was accidentally hit by one of his own security personnel while they were trying to shield him from an overzealous fan.

“That was my security. Hit me by mistake,” the singer wrote, dismissing speculation of an assault.
