TikToker Who Linked Dayo Amusa to HIV Shares Jail Ordeal
TikToker Olaoluwa Segun, who recently accused actress Dayo Amusa of living with HIV, has recounted his harrowing experience behind bars.
Segun was arrested in July after Amusa petitioned the police over his viral video listing her among celebrities allegedly battling the disease — a claim she firmly denied, clarifying that her 2019 post about HIV was purely educational. She had also vowed to make him a “scapegoat” for spreading falsehoods.
Speaking in a new video on Tuesday, Segun revealed he spent two days at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Panti, describing it as the worst experience of his life since losing his mother.
“Immediately I entered the cell, a rugged-looking guy ordered me to prostrate and greet them. The place had no furniture, just four pit latrines and an uncovered window where mosquitoes swarmed in. It was like sleeping inside a toilet,” he narrated.

According to him, about 60 inmates shared the cell, the same one where singer Naira Marley was once held. He added that he was spared harsh treatment only because one inmate recognized him from TikTok.
Segun expressed relief that Amusa eventually forgave him, saying otherwise he might have remained in custody much longer.
