Stanley Ontop Calls Out NAPTIP Over Alleged Child Abductions
Nollywood actor and activist, Stanley Ontop, has accused officials of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) of allegedly trafficking children from Delta State to Kano.
In a series of posts shared via Instagram on Tuesday, Ontop claimed that some officials stormed Happy Home Orphanage in Asaba on Sunday, June 15, 2025, and took away eight children aged between 13 and 17 without proper documentation.
He alleged:
“Some group of notorious NAPTIP officials from Kano invaded an orphanage here in Asaba and carted away eight children. The government, women affairs, the SSAs, and the first lady have not said anything about it—it’s only we the activists speaking up for Delta State.
“They packed eight children, took them to the north, changed their names to Muslim names, and forced them to attend mosques and read the Qur’an. If they refused, they would be flogged like illegal refugees. And nothing has been done about it?”

In a separate viral video, the Chairman of Happy Home Orphanage, Christopher Nwokoye, confirmed the incident, noting that it occurred in his absence.
“When I checked the small paper that was left behind by the NAPTIP officials, I saw ‘NAPTIP officials Oka.’ I rushed to D Division, but their DCO said he didn’t send any men from their station to this orphanage home.
“On Monday morning, I went to the NAPTIP office at the Federal Secretariat in Oka. After showing the note to their head of duties, he told me it wasn’t from them—that it came from Kano,” Nwokoye explained.
