VDM Rallies Ratel Movement for Nationwide Service

Controversial social media critic and activist Martin Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has launched a civic initiative under his Ratel Movement, aimed at mobilising Nigerian youths for nationwide community service.

In a viral Facebook video on Wednesday, VDM announced that the initiative will kick off on Saturday, November 29, 2025, with monthly sanitation exercises across communities.

He explained that the programme seeks to address environmental challenges while fostering patriotism among young people.

“From November 29, we the Ratel Movement are taking over Nigeria—not through violence, but through impact,” VDM declared.

Planned activities include cleaning public spaces, clearing blocked drainages, rehabilitating schools, and other grassroots services.

According to him, the effort marks a transition from online activism to physical action, with Ratels expected to “show up in real life and make tangible contributions to society.”
