Alhaji Popping: I Survived 10 Gunshots
Nigerian singer and music executive Tobi Mohammed, popularly known as Alhaji Popping, has shared how he and fellow artist Rayce narrowly survived a terrorist attack in Bauchi State back in 2017.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Adesope Live show, Alhaji Popping recalled that gunmen disguised in military uniforms ambushed their vehicle and fired at least 10 shots. Although the bullets tore through the car, neither he nor Rayce sustained any injuries.
“The bullets went into the steering, the wheel, the AC, even the boot — but not one touched me,” he recounted. “If my mom sees this, she will call and pray for me because I never told her about it.”

He described the near-death experience as life-changing, explaining that it deepened his faith and brought him closer to God. “That moment made me realize everything that has happened to me is simply grace,” he added.
