Court Didn’t Freeze My Accounts – Kizz Daniel
Nigerian music star Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has dismissed reports circulating online that a court ordered the freezing of his personal and business accounts over a contract dispute.
The viral claims alleged that the “Buga” crooner was instructed to pay €200,000 in damages for allegedly failing to honour a show despite receiving a $50,000 advance payment, and that his accounts with Access Bank had been frozen.
In a statement issued on Thursday, September 25, 2025, the singer’s management described the publication as false, misleading, and an attempt to damage his reputation.
“Kizz Daniel has no such case in court, and no accounts have been frozen. We urge fans, partners, and the general public to disregard this fabricated story,” the statement read in part.
The team further disclosed that legal steps would be taken against those responsible for spreading the falsehood, while stressing that the artist remains focused on his career and upcoming performances.
They also recalled a past controversy involving the Afrobeats Meets Berlin 2022 concert, noting that its promoter had used Kizz Daniel’s name, image, and likeness—alongside those of other stars—to sell tickets for an event that eventually never held. According to the statement, Kizz Daniel was prepared to perform, but the organizer “failed to uphold his own obligations.”

The management maintained that this is not the first time the singer has been targeted with rumours, but insisted such distractions would not deter him from continuing to deliver quality music to his fans worldwide.
