Bovi Opens Up on Financial Split with Basketmouth
Popular Nigerian comedian Bovi has opened up about his decision to part ways with fellow comedian Basketmouth.
In a recent viral interview shared on social media, Bovi clarified that their split was not due to conflict but a natural divergence of interests. He attributed the decision to his desire for financial independence and personal growth.
“Basketmouth and I are cool. Nothing happened. Interests changed. I wanted to focus more and spend more time with my family, and also to elevate myself,” Bovi said.
He further explained that he prefers exploring new avenues rather than repeating the same collaborations, especially when it comes to financial matters. “I easily get bored doing something for too long, so I try something else. As you know, I went back to TV because I wanted to build my own brand. When I host shows at Eko Hotels, it fills up. So, why should I go and share money? Why should we be many doing one show?” he added.
