Seyi Shay Opens Up on Fallout with Tiwa Savage
Music star Seyi Shay has opened up about the real cause of her long-standing feud with fellow singer Tiwa Savage, revealing that it stemmed from a betrayal by her former personal assistant.
Speaking on the Offair Show, Seyi Shay explained that the fallout began after her ex-PA secretly entered into a romantic relationship with Tiwa Savage’s estranged husband, Tunji Balogun, popularly known as TBillz, without her knowledge.
According to her, Tiwa Savage may have assumed she was aware of and encouraging the affair, leading to years of tension between the two artists.

She recounted discovering the truth years later when she ran into the former staff member in London. During the encounter, the ex-PA admitted to the affair and apologized for causing the rift.
“To cut the long story short, it turns out the girl was having a relationship with my girl’s [Tiwa Savage’s] husband and I didn’t even know. She [my ex-PA] told me all of that. It must have been true; I don’t think she would say all of that as a joke,” Seyi Shay said.
“When she told me this I was disgusted because we were rolling together and doing things together, meanwhile Tiwa probably thought I knew about it. You can just imagine the anger. It’s so painful. If that was me, I would have done worse.”
Seyi Shay described her former PA’s actions as “disgusting,” adding that the misunderstanding deeply strained her relationship with Tiwa Savage at the time.
