Daddy Freeze: I Married My Ex Because of Pregnancy

Popular media personality Daddy Freeze has opened up about the circumstances surrounding his first marriage, admitting that it was largely influenced by pregnancy.

Speaking in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the broadcaster recalled that he tied the knot with his ex-wife, Opeyemi, at a young age despite their lack of readiness for marriage.

“We had no business getting married because we were very young and immature. I was 24, and she was 22 when we married. She was pregnant. If she were not pregnant, I’m not sure we would have gotten married. So pregnancy was one of the factors that influenced the marriage,” Freeze said.

Reflecting on their eventual separation, Daddy Freeze expressed regret that their differences denied him a healthy relationship with their children.

“It has been nearly ten years. My ex-wife and I are very stubborn. She will not hear, and I will not hear. It was two damaged people in a union. My only pain is the marriage didn’t work. Can I see or talk to my kids on the phone? They’re out of the country. I traced them but I don’t want to sneak up on them. If they want to see me, a DM on social,” he stated.
