May Edochie: I Met Yul at a GCE Centre

May Edochie has shared the story of how she first met her estranged husband, Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, long before fame and marriage entered the picture.

Speaking during a recent lifestyle podcast, the mother of three revealed that their paths crossed at a General Certificate Examination (GCE) centre during her early university years.

She explained that she had just relocated from Lagos to pursue a degree at Enugu State University when she met Yul, who was then a student at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT).

“Way back in school when I went to the East for my university, I’m a bookworm. It’s always been about books for me. We didn’t meet at a party or any glamorous setting, we met at a GCE centre,” May said.

Reflecting on that period, she described herself as an academically focused young woman, devoted to her studies rather than social activities.
