Imisi: I Broke Up Weeks Before BBNaija Audition

Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, has revealed that she parted ways with her boyfriend, Hakeem, just weeks before the show’s audition.

She made the disclosure during a post-show interview with the reality show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, where she opened up about her personal life leading up to her time in Biggie’s house.

Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, has shared new details about her breakup with ex-boyfriend Hakeem, describing the experience as “hectic.”

Speaking during a post-show interview, Imisi revealed that she deliberately kept the reason for their separation private but admitted the breakup deeply affected her. She explained that she entered the BBNaija house emotionally broken and had not fully healed before the show began.

According to her, Hakeem had a significant influence on her personal style and appearance during their relationship.

“The Imisi you saw on social media was not really me. My dressing and style were influenced by my ex, Hakeem, because that’s what he liked. He liked when I wore makeup and frontals, so I did that to please him because he was my safe place. He liked girls who looked girly, and he was the only person I had at the time,” she said.

Imisi added that their relationship ended on April 4, just weeks before the BBNaija audition in May, leaving her little time to process the breakup.

“It was really a hectic breakup, and I didn’t have the time to heal before the show,” she added.
