Adesua Etomi Talks Near-Death Experience Last June
Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has revealed details of a life-threatening health scare she experienced in June while in the United Kingdom with her husband, Banky W, and their two sons.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the actress recounted undergoing an unexpected surgery that could have cost her life, describing the experience as both terrifying and transformative.
“I could have lost my life in June. What I went through was horrific and ended with an unplanned surgery, and strangely, the surgery itself was the least dramatic part of it all,” she wrote.
Adesua explained that the incident occurred while she was in the UK for two speaking engagements and credited divine intervention for her survival.
“If even one single detail had been different, I wouldn’t be here today. When I think about it, I shudder,” she said.
The Sugar Rush actress revealed that the ordeal deepened her faith and renewed her gratitude for life.
“There’s nothing anyone can tell me, God is real,” she declared.

She also encouraged her followers to cherish each day and practice compassion:
“Let’s choose to be softer, kinder, gentler, forgiving, patient, loving, and peaceful. I’ll never take another day for granted, neither should you,” Adesua added.
