Yung Miami Accuses Tyla of Song Theft
American rapper Yung Miami has accused South African singer Tyla of stealing her song.
The hip-hop star made the allegation after Tyla shared a teaser of her upcoming single “Chanel” on social media on Thursday.
Yung Miami claimed that she had previously played her unreleased track, also titled “Chanel,” for Tyla — and alleged that the South African star copied the idea.
Expressing her disappointment, the rapper said watching Tyla tease a song similar to hers left her emotionally hurt.
“This girl really ran off with my song and I don’t know how to feel about it. Mind you, I played this song for this girl,” Yung Miami wrote.
Responding to a fan’s question online, Yung Miami confirmed that Tyla was the person she was referring to.

The allegations have since sparked fresh debate about intellectual property theft and the evolving relationship between Afro-American and African artists in the global music industry.
As of the time of this report, Tyla has not responded to the accusations.
