Actresses Funke, Toyin deny rumored clash
Award-winning Nollywood actresses and filmmakers Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham have put to rest long-standing rumors of a feud between them.
Speculations of rivalry had persisted for years, often fueled by comparisons of their dominance in the Nigerian film industry.
However, the actresses dispelled the claims after they were spotted together at the premiere of a film by Wunmi Toriola and skit maker Kiekie.
A now-viral clip captured Akindele and Abraham sharing a private conversation while enjoying the event. In the footage, Akindele danced before pausing to chat with Abraham, prompting playful teasing from Kiekie, who later joined in the fun.

The display of camaraderie follows Abraham’s recent heartfelt note to Akindele, in which she admitted that fan-driven tensions had once escalated into a misunderstanding but stressed there had never been genuine hostility between them.
