BBNaija S10: Team Vibrant Shines in First Guinness Challenge

The BBNaija house buzzed with excitement on Tuesday night, August 12, 2025, as Guinness kicked off the season’s first Gold-sponsored task.

The familiar beat of Guinness drums signaled the start of a challenge designed to test the housemates’ speed, wit, precision, and composure. Biggie read the task brief, the branded Guinness gear was unveiled, and the housemates braced themselves for a high-stakes showdown.

The BBNaija housemates were divided into four squads—Vibrant, Smooth, Refreshing, and Bold—each starting the task with 100 points. Every point had to be earned or defended as the games progressed.

The first challenge, Break the Ice, seemed simple on paper: scoop ice cubes from a marked box, weave through tyres, and tiptoe across wooden planks. But one clang of the bell could freeze players mid-stride, mid-laugh, or mid-almost-trip, instantly evoking Squid Game flashbacks. Adding to the challenge were the tricky 6°C and 9°C ice cubes, nearly identical and prone to slipping at the worst possible moment, making every second crucial in the high-stakes competition.

Next up was the “Mind the Angle” challenge. Three representatives from each team navigated awkward cut-outs while solving puzzles on the fly. Completing the challenge earned 15 points, the fastest team gained an additional 10 points, and mistakes could cost 15 points.

Team Vibrant’s Jason showcased control and agility as he maneuvered through the shapes, while Team Bold’s high energy didn’t always translate into accuracy, highlighting the fine balance between speed and precision in the competition.

The final stage tested skill over strength. Success now depended on steady hands, precise tilts, and making every drop count. Biggie offered subtle hints that could have helped teams avoid losing points, but several housemates missed them until it was too late. It became a true “work hard or work smart” moment, where rushing led only to spills, penalties, and heartbreak.

When the competition ended, the scoreboard confirmed what the cheers already hinted. Team Bold scored 28 points, Team Smooth 65, and Team Refreshing 102. But the champions, Team Vibrant, dominated with 115 points — precise, calculated, and fully in control. Housemates Jason, Isabella, Kayikunmi, Imisi, Sultana, Kuture, and Johanna executed the Guinness challenge with strategy, composure, and confidence. Observers joked that, had the game continued, some teams might have even ended up owing points, highlighting just how punishing the penalties could be.

Beyond the points, Guinness impressed with style. Housemates sported sleek branded merchandise, pairing tailored bottoms with bold t-shirts, giving off a fashion-week-ready vibe. Fans took to social media to praise their favorite housemates, commenting on how stylish and polished they looked throughout the challenge.

The finale task, “Pour with Joy,” captured the essence of Guinness itself. Housemates first “Broke the Ice” with a chilled bottle, then “Minded Their Angles” to tilt glasses perfectly, and finally “Poured with Joy,” savoring each drop. The challenge emphasized precision, patience, and enjoyment over speed.

For Guinness, the task highlighted a signature Big Brother Naija moment. Over ten seasons, the brand has combined excitement, skill, and spectacle for fans and housemates alike. This year’s challenge promised a bold and thrilling season, setting the tone for an unmissable series ahead.
