Black Coffee Vows Never to Marry Again

Renowned South African DJ and music producer Black Coffee has revealed that he has no plans to remarry, saying he is now at peace with who he is and no longer feels compelled to live by societal expectations.

Speaking on a recent episode of Podcast and Chill, the Grammy Award-winning artist shared that his earlier decision to marry was largely influenced by pressure from family and society, particularly after he achieved fame and financial success.

“I won’t get married again — I’m very sure of that,” he said. “I’m in a much better place now, with a clearer understanding of who I am. I also understand how society pressures you into things but never stands by you when those choices fall apart.”

Reflecting on his early years, the DJ explained that his parents had encouraged him to settle down once his career began to flourish. “When my music career finally took off, everyone was amazed. I bought my first house, my first car, and suddenly my parents were asking, ‘So, when are you getting married?’” he recounted.

Black Coffee noted that for a long time, external opinions shaped his personal life. He said he eventually learned to make decisions based on self-awareness rather than social approval. “Society kept trying to define my life until I realized who I truly am,” he added, stressing that remaining single allows him to stay focused on his career and well-being.
