Bracket says P-Square’s beef runs spiritual

Nigerian singer Obumneme Ali, better known as Smash of the music duo Bracket, has suggested that the long-running rift between Peter and Paul Okoye of P-Square may have spiritual undertones.

Speaking on the AFRIMMA Podcast alongside his bandmate Vast, Smash revealed that Paul himself acknowledged the possibility during a private conversation.

“I’m actually closer to Paul than Peter, but I often visit Peter’s house, and he always listens to me when I talk to him. Still, if you ask me as someone who knows them well, I’ll say their problem is spiritual,” Smash explained.

He added: “The last time I met Paul, I told him what he has with Peter isn’t normal—it’s spiritual—and he agreed. If you knew how close they were and how hard they worked together, you’d feel bad seeing what’s happening now. Jude was also part of P-Square, and both Paul and Peter loved that brand with so much passion.”
