Cardi B: Why drama always trails me

American rapper Cardi B says she does not enjoy controversy or drama, despite constantly finding herself at the center of it.

The Grammy winner, who recently stirred headlines after revealing she is pregnant with NFL star Stefon Diggs while still in the middle of a divorce case with fellow rapper Offset, claimed that much of the backlash she faces comes from being targeted by the media.

Speaking in an interview with CBS, Cardi B admitted that her outspoken personality often attracts attention and fuels drama.

“I didn’t think I was that much drama. When I was in high school and was voted most dramatic in my yearbook, I was surprised. I don’t like drama—it just follows me. Sometimes, certain things just follow certain people,” she explained.

She added that her big personality and bold character make her an easy target:

“When you have a big personality like me, or when you have a mouth like me, or whatever aura I give, drama will follow you. I don’t like drama—it stresses me.”
