Dayo Amusa Debunks HIV Rumors with Negative Test

Nollywood star Dayo Amusa has dispelled rumours about her health by releasing the results of a recent HIV test.

The speculation began after content creator Olaoluwa Segun published a video in July, falsely naming Amusa among a list of Nigerian actors allegedly living with the virus.

Taking to social media, the actress dismissed the claim as both false and malicious. She reminded fans that back in 2019, she had already shared her HIV-negative status as part of a public awareness campaign encouraging people to get tested.

Amusa emphasized that the 2019 disclosure was never a confession of illness but rather a move to promote health consciousness. She warned Segun against spreading baseless claims and hinted at possible legal action.

To silence ongoing rumours, Amusa on Tuesday posted a photo of her latest test result on Instagram, which confirmed that she remains HIV-free.

Alongside the post, she urged Nigerians to prioritize regular HIV testing, writing that knowing one’s status is crucial for both personal protection and safeguarding others.
