Deji Adeyanju Claims Many BBNaija Winners End Up Broke

Activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju has raised doubts about whether winners of the Big Brother Naija reality show actually receive their prize money.

In a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, Adeyanju claimed that many past winners of the show appeared financially worse off after their victories.

“Do they really give BBNaija winners the prize money? The reason I am asking is because many of them end up looking extremely broke thereafter,” he wrote.

His remarks came less than 24 hours after Imisi was declared the winner of the 10th edition of Big Brother Naija, walking away with a grand prize of ₦150 million.

Adeyanju’s comments sparked mixed reactions online. While some fans demanded that he name past winners who allegedly became poorer after the show, he did not provide any further details.
