DJ Cuppy calls marriage God’s greatest contract
Nigerian DJ and billionaire heiress Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has shared her views on marriage, describing it as one of the most profound unions in human life.
In a post on her X handle on Thursday, Cuppy said she considers marriage not just a partnership, but a sacred covenant with God as the ultimate witness.
“Call me old school, but I see marriage as the most powerful partnership in life. Maybe even the most important contract you will ever sign—with God Himself as the witness,” she wrote.
Cuppy added that witnessing her younger sister Temi Otedola’s marriage to Afrobeats star Mr Eazi has strengthened her conviction about the institution.
“Seeing my baby sister Temi become Mrs Ajibade reminds me that marriage is far from outdated. With the right person, it pulls you closer to purpose and builds love, family, and legacy,” she said.
Her comments came shortly after Temi released official photos from her wedding to Oluwatosin Ajibade (Mr Eazi). The couple celebrated their union with three ceremonies across different countries:
- A private ceremony in Monaco on May 9, 2025, chosen to honor Mr Eazi’s late mother’s birthday.
- A traditional Yoruba wedding in Dubai two months later at the Otedola residence.
- A white wedding in Iceland in August, where they exchanged vows in an intimate setting.
