Etinosa Idemudia: Acting Tougher Than Engineering
Nigerian actress and trained engineer Etinosa Idemudia has stirred conversation online after declaring that acting is more demanding than engineering.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Bold Enough To Say It podcast, Idemudia reflected on her experiences in both fields, asserting that the film industry requires an extraordinary level of dedication and mental energy.
“I’ve worked as an engineer and also as an actor,” she said. “No disrespect to my colleagues in engineering, but acting is far more tasking. It’s a crazy kind of job — truly work for mad people,” she added with a laugh.

She encouraged fellow actors not to allow people from other professions to belittle their craft.
“Don’t let those who close by 5 p.m. look down on us,” she urged, emphasizing that acting involves intense creativity, long hours, and emotional labor that outsiders often underestimate.
