Fan storms stage, attacks Naira Marley in Cotonou

A dramatic scene unfolded at Naira Marley’s recent concert in Benin Republic after a fan stormed the stage in what appeared to be an attempted attack on the singer.

In a viral clip from the event, the Marlian Music boss was in the middle of his performance when the unidentified man suddenly charged toward him.

Security operatives, supported by Naira Marley’s associate Sam Larry, quickly intervened, subduing the intruder before he could reach the artist. The individual was promptly escorted offstage, allowing the show to continue with minimal disruption.

Reacting on X (formerly Twitter), Naira Marley took the incident lightly, reposting the viral video with a playful caption: “The moment I got attacked on stage, see baba oniru re.”
