Guinness Record: Hilda Baci Starts Jollof Rice Feat
Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has launched her latest Guinness World Record attempt—cooking the world’s largest pot of jollof rice using 250 bags of rice.
The event kicked off at Eko Hotel, Lagos, before a spirited crowd of fans and supporters. Baci, who shot to global fame in 2023 after setting the record for the longest cooking marathon, described the challenge as another historic milestone for Nigerian cuisine.
Before firing up the massive pot, Hilda and her mother were seen in a heartfelt moment of prayer, asking for strength, protection, and endurance. The touching scene drew emotional applause from spectators, many of whom praised her mother for being a constant source of support.

Sharing her excitement, Hilda posted: “Yes, I can officially confirm this pot is squeaky clean! I rolled up my sleeves and washed it myself. In just a few hours, this same pot will carry thousands of servings of Nigerian Jollof history in the making.”
The event, initially slated for Muri Okunola Park, was relocated to Eko Hotel due to overwhelming public interest. Organisers revealed that over 20,000 people registered to attend.
