Ice Prince Clarifies Weight Loss, Says He’s Not Sick
Nigerian rapper and singer Ice Prince Zamani has opened up about his recent weight loss, clarifying that his transformation was not due to illness but a personal decision to embrace a healthier lifestyle.
The Oleku crooner shared the story of his fitness journey in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, revealing that he had gained excess belly fat over time because of unhealthy habits and choices.
Ice Prince explained that concerns from family and friends inspired him to take action, with music producer Chopstix playing a key role in motivating him to stay consistent.
He wrote:
“God so good inna me life… A short story!
I was literally about to explode — no sickness (Bless God) — just bad habits and choices. But then Chopstix and Dami said, ‘Let’s lose the belly, Ice,’ and that really sparked something in my brain. From that day, Chopstix started coming to my house every evening after dinner, and we’d walk around my estate for an hour.
Our talks during those walks are priceless to me, just like every conversation we’ve had since we were kids. Buss a shot for my true fren.”
Ice Prince’s transformation comes amid a growing trend of Nigerian celebrities embracing fitness and lifestyle changes.
