May Edochie’s ex-lawyer leaks chats, calls her ‘a terrible liar

The public fallout between May Yul-Edochie, estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, and her former lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, has deepened after Ugwuonye published alleged private conversations from their time working together on her divorce case.

On Friday, the lawyer shared screenshots on Facebook, claiming he had offered May “first-class treatment” and guided her through court proceedings, only to be, in his words, “betrayed” by her actions.

Ugwuonye accused May of dishonesty and manipulation, labeling her a “liar” and a “fake person.” He further hinted at the possibility of releasing more damaging evidence against her.

“If you see the chats between us, you’ll understand how fake May is and what a terrible liar she is. I gave this woman premium support, even ensuring she didn’t waste time in court. Yet she betrayed me,” he wrote.

The lawyer’s post comes just days after May, through her legal representatives Graylaw Partners, served him a cease-and-desist notice. She accused Ugwuonye of cyberbullying, defamation, and harassment through a series of online posts.

The escalating dispute has drawn wide attention on social media, with many observers divided over the lawyer’s decision to publish private exchanges.
