Rapper 2Shotz says Beverly Osu allegations ruined his life
Veteran Nigerian rapper, William Orioha, better known as 2Shotz, has opened up about the darkest chapter of his career, recounting how his life spiraled after actress Beverly Osu accused him of assault years ago.
Speaking in an interview on the Teju Babyface Show, the rapper said the allegation, which surfaced long before his marriage, triggered a chain of events that nearly destroyed both his career and personal life.
According to him, Beverly—who once appeared in one of his music videos—used to visit his home regularly. Their relationship eventually soured, and during a heated argument, he said his hand “accidentally brushed her face.” Beverly, however, considered the act as an assault, and the story spread rapidly.
2Shotz explained that the fallout was devastating. He lost endorsement deals, was shunned by the industry, faced harsh public criticism, and endured strain within his family.

“I was accused of things I never did. Everybody tore me apart. I wasn’t getting shows or deals anymore. I lost my house. I almost killed myself—I even walked into water, and people had to pull me out,” he recalled.
The rapper insisted he has never been a violent person and maintained that the incident was misrepresented. He described the period as one of the most painful experiences of his life, one that derailed his music journey and left lasting scars.
