Tiwa Savage: Nigerians Don’t Give Me My Flowers
Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has expressed her disappointment over what she describes as a lack of proper recognition from Nigerians and the local music industry for her impact and achievements.
Despite being one of Africa’s most celebrated female artistes — often hailed as the “Queen of Afrobeats” — Tiwa believes she hasn’t received the level of accolades she truly deserves.
Speaking on a recent episode of the OffAir Show hosted by Gbemi and Toolz, the “Malo” hitmaker was asked whether she feels the industry has given her her flowers.
In response, Tiwa said plainly, “No. I’m sorry, I don’t.”
